Lipa Cave and Njeguši Village excursion

On the Lipa Cave – Njeguši Village tour, you will experience the unique underground halls that once amazed even kings. After exploring Lipa Cave, the journey continues to the traditional village of Njeguši, where you can taste authentic local specialties and the famous Montenegrin prosciutto.

We begin our trip from Kotor and make a short stop in Budva. Take a walk through the charming streets of Budva Old Town or enjoy a relaxing coffee by the sea. From there, we continue toward Lipa Cave.

Lipa Cave is located about five kilometers from Cetinje, in the village of Lipa Dobrska. The cave system contains approximately 2.5 km of passages, chambers, and galleries of remarkable beauty. It was officially opened to visitors in 2015. One of the most famous parts of the cave is Njegoš Hall, particularly impressive for its magical ice-like formations that create a truly unique atmosphere. A visit to Lipa Cave is the perfect escape from city crowds and summer heat.

After the cave tour, we continue our journey to the well-known Montenegrin village of Njeguši. Njeguši is the birthplace of the famous Montenegrin poet, philosopher, and bishop Petar II Petrović-Njegoš. His family home in the village has been turned into a museum. The charming atmosphere of this historic place, surrounded by ancient landmarks, offers the perfect setting for relaxation and enjoying the peace of nature. Visitors can also taste the original Njeguši prosciutto, prepared according to traditional recipes dating back to the 15th century, as well as homemade cheese and other authentic Montenegrin specialties.

We return to Kotor via the old Austro-Hungarian road, famous for its numerous curves and breathtaking views of Bay of Kotor. Along the way, we make short stops so you can take photos, enjoy the fresh sea and mountain air, and fully appreciate the spectacular scenery that completes this unforgettable tour.
